First of all, let us thank you for stopping by. You may be wondering who we are, what we are about and why we are here…
Well, let us try and fill in some of those gaps for you.
First off,
Who are we?
The Ecommerce Workshop was set up about 3 years ago when a few colleagues who worked together regularly in web design and website application development (or geek squads as some like to call us) decided to put together a collective forum (no pun intended) to assist in a common goal…help ecommerce traders develop, converse and vent without fear of a monthly invoice dropping through the door!
Although we are responsible for the content, one of our group does run their own web design and development company and as a result, we get the updates, technical support and content advice for free, so we thought it best we mention them…thanks LOS Design.
What are we about?
We basically aim to help you run your online business wherever possible (for free). We do this in a number of ways…
- By posting technical snippets, security warnings et al for your viewing
- Process mapping (such as stock taking, inventory management etc) for your reference
- Selecting products and services that may assist your business
- Providing an open forum for you to converse with us about what you need
Although we say open in point 4, registration is required to ensure we keep unwanted members off our forum (you know who you are….spam not welcome!!!)
Why do we do it?
Because we can. After a collective period of nearly 20 years in IT, Logistics, Self-employment and middle management, if there is a mistake to be made, we have made it and learnt from it, so we can share with you how NOT TO MAKE IT.
As stated before, our service is 100% FREE but we do place a few selected partner ads around the site for you to view, hopefully you will find them useful. So help us to keep on helping you for free…use them please.
We only select companies whom we trust, have dealt with over the years and have a sound reputation so you can trade with them in a relaxed fashion as they will not be rip off merchants.
Anyway, more posts to write so thanks for stopping by and feel free to join in today.
